MILES APART!

Well, the two words may sound to have a very simple and straight meaning but to me they refer to a lot more then that. On a personal level too, the duality in me (: D remember… GEMINI ME) is miles apart, where one longs for stability, the other craves for all that is dynamic. It’s not only the distance between the souls of two lovers but also between the GOD and the SINNER. However, each relation has its own dimension of the two words. Where God and the Sinner are supposed to be miles apart, it is actually the opposite. That is why Jesus has said that he will be first trying to bring back the one who has sinned as they are the ones who need greater help from the almighty. In case of the lovers, it may be a physical distance or lack of bonding of the soul or even a mental conflict. If I generalize, then it will always be the distance between ‘I’ and ‘ME’. Heart and Head. Soul and Body. Emotions and Practicality.

Well, here is another poem from my bag, written way back when I was a ninth grader. Featuring it here too, as Pulkit has given it space in his blog after going through a lot many on my other blog. Here it goes:

Empty spaces
Low lit rooms
Bed sheets crumbled
Distances between us
Lying apart
Sleepless nights
Dreamless visions
Everything was a mess
Life was upside down
Didn’t know what to do

In those dark times, there shone a light
And so came you
You came and so does my life
Or that I thought so
I was happy and perceived you were too
But times took turns and so did you
You had your own perfect reasons
I had all the faulty objections
The waves of time
Threw us apart
We lived together forever
But we were miles apart
But we were miles apart
